This saturday night July 19th at Orchestra Hall in Detroit. Hope to see people there! Heidi Also Sunday at 8:15 is La Inspiracion a Bomba troupe from Puerto Rico!

Ozzie from La Inspiracion is leading a Bomba concert where dancers challenge the drummers. It is a Puerto Rican style where the dancers move in a way that makes fun of the way the elite classes move and dance so it should be a fun audience participation concert.

Son De Cali in Toronto - July 19
If you fancy a trip across the border, Son De Cali will perform live on July 19 at the Docks in Toronto. If you do not know Son De Cali, you do no know salsa colombiana.
For zouk aficionados, the group Kassav will be in concert in Toronto on July 21 at 8 PM also on the Docks. Zouk originated in the French Caribbean (Martinique & Guadeloupe) islands. Kassav is to zouk what Los Van Van is to Cuban salsa, or what El Gran Combo is to Puerto Rican salsa: an institution and a living legend of the genre.
